Wavelets and curvelets for image deconvolution: a combined approach

چکیده
We propose in this paper a new deconvolution approach, which uses both the wavelet transform and the curvelet transform in order to bene2t from the advantages of each. We illustrate the results with simulations. ? 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Wavelets, Ridgelets and Curvelets revisited
A recently developed new approach, called “Empirical Wavelet Transform”, aims to build 1D adaptive wavelet frames accordingly to the analyzed signal. In this paper, we present several extensions of this approach to 2D signals (images). We revisit some well-known transforms (tensor wavelets, Littlewood-Paley wavelets, ridgelets and curvelets) and show that it is possible to build their empirical...
متن کاملPixel Fusion Based Curvelets and Wavelets Denoise Algorithm
denoise approach has been widely used in many fields for its ability to obtain high quality result images. However artifacts those appear in the result images of curvelets approach prevent its application in some fields such as medical image. A denoise algorithm is proposed to perform pixel fusion to result images of curvelets and wavelets approaches. Firstly curvelets denoise result image and ...
متن کاملFingerprint Image Compression Using Wave Atom Transform
This paper describes an approach to the compression of a Fingerprint images using new mathematical transform ,namely ,the wave atom transform that has proven to show promising results over wavelet transform and curvelet transform .Wavelets are well suited to point singularities ,however they have a problem with orientation selectivity, and therefore ,they do not represent two-dimensional singul...
متن کامل4255 Seismic Deconvolution Revisited with Curvelet Frames
We propose an efficient iterative curvelet-regularized deconvolution algorithm that exploits continuity along reflectors in seismic images. Curvelets are a new multiscale transform that provides sparse representations for images (such as seismic images) that comprise smooth objects separated by piece-wise smooth discontinuities. Our technique combines conjugate gradient-based convolution operat...
متن کاملExtended object reconstruction in adaptive-optics imaging: the multiresolution approach
Aims. We propose the application of multiresolution transforms, such as wavelets (WT) and curvelets (CT), to the reconstruction of images of extended objects that have been acquired with adaptive optics (AO) systems. Such multichannel approaches normally make use of probabilistic tools in order to distinguish significant structures from noise and reconstruction residuals. Therefore, we also tes...
